The following selected 101 quotations were channeled by different people through the guiding voice of Holy Teacher Tian Ran. Holy Teacher wanted to voice his True Heart to each of his beloved disciple. He made it clear that this book of quotations is the guide for cultivating and propagating Tao during this period of the Last Chance, and should be spread to the entire world in the future.

Verse 060
Cherish each trial that helps us improve; respect others’ viewpoints and comments; and learn to accept others’ correction and criticism. With an open, joyful heart we will see the Truth beyond our own perception. This will create a wholesome personal character, and a perfect, harmonious Tao community. As your teacher, I hope for the best for all of you.
Verse 061
Pray for all sentient beings that are suffering in this world; hope for them to activate and make progress toward their spiritual mission. If you can accomplish this, then I will worry less about you, share some of my love and caring with others, and help expedite their uplifting conditions to accomplish their missions.

Verse 062
Cherish whatever comes to you at all times. Yet do not get attached to anything, lest it becomes an obstacle on your Tao journey.
Verse 063
Respect and revere buddhas, yet do not idolize them.

Verse 064
By releasing our selfish desires, we can reduce unnecessary ordeals. Do not allow ourselves to be ruined by inappropriate intimate relationships.
Verse 065
Be vigilant yet unattached in our mind and thoughts, so that our future lives will be free from bewilderment.

Verse 066
Always uphold our sincere faith in Tao cultivation, regardless of the ups and downs of the internal or external situations.
Verse 067
Learn from the anonymous, selfless virtue of the Divine Matriarch*.
*EDITOR’S NOTE: The virtues of our Divine Matriarch: she bowed and prayed every day for all sentient beings, so that they could free themselves from calamity and suffering. Her practice was to encourage all people to cultivate both for themselves and for the world. She focused her attention on Tao and on others, paying no attention to her own personal struggles or hardships. She was misunderstood in her lifetime, and misjudged by people that she wanted to help, yet she did not complain, nor did she stop in her daily devotions.

Verse 068
Abide by the Three Pure Precepts of the temple*. Be scrupulous in separating the Holy from the worldly, and do not take advantage of the resources of any sentient being.
*EDITOR’S NOTE: The Three Pure Precepts are:
1) Separate the Holy from the worldly.
2) Do not use the resources of the temple for personal monetary gain.
3) Do not seek intimate relationships with others at the temple.
Verse 069
Do not gossip about others, but recognize their positive qualities, and discover the authentic inner beauty and purity of human nature. This is true wisdom.

Verse 072
A Tao cultivator shall always let go of physical and emotional worries and attachments in order to be liberated from suffering.
Verse 073
Strive to be a clear stream in the muddled world and a lighted candle in the dark stormy night.

Verse 074
Heaven cherishes those who constantly offer their innate gifts to the Holy Task, and cultivate with integrity.
Verse 075
A Tao cultivator must be familiar with all the holy etiquettes and Buddha conducts in the Tao community, which is the necessary practice for cultivation.

Verse 076
While encountering any severe difficulty, do more sincere bows to communicate with God (Lau Mu*). When our sincerity rises to the sufficient level, mystical inspiration will arrive. Then the first awareness (without any ego) will be the revelation from Heaven. This is exactly what I did when I encountered difficulties, and when I was new to propagating Tao in the Three Realms** (Heaven, Earth and Hell).
*EDITOR’S NOTE: Lao Mu means Heavenly Mother, and is commonly used in the Tao community to refer to God. This is the aspect of God that is the creator of everything, and is nurturing, caring and loving.
**While Holy Teacher Tian Ren was propagating Tao on Earth, his message and cultivation affected spirits in Heaven, human beings on Earth, and ghosts in Hell. Everyone that receives Tao and cultivates is also able to have this positive affect. The Tao cultivator’s influence passes beyond just this earthly realm – it extends into all Three Realms. Tao cultivation has a positive effect on living beings as well as ancestors and future generations. During this period of the Last Chance, all souls in Heaven and Hell have the possibility of achieving salvation. Please see Verse 28 for more explanation.
Verse 077
Respect and cherish all affinity - given by Heaven - with the Tao community and sentient beings. Do your best to cultivate and propagate Tao. After the long journey of 60,000 years, we finally have this opportunity. Do not waste it*.
*EDITOR’S NOTE: Based on the Cycle of Heaven and Earth, our souls first came into human form 60,000 years ago. We do not know how many life cycles we have experienced since then, and in past life times we experienced suffering as well as good deeds. The accumulation of good deeds has allowed us to be in human form today, during this period of the White Stage. If we had not been born specifically at this time, we would be unable to receive and propagate Tao. However, now that we are in this human form, we can receive and propagate Tao. It is both an honor and a responsibility for us during this period of the White Stage to share Tao all over the Earth. Our ability to be in human form and to participate in propagating Tao comes from the virtues of our ancestors. This is why we honor our ancestors, for preparing the way for us to fulfill this Holy Mission.
Verse 078
The heavenly affairs of the temple, which we are maintaining and taking care of, belong to Heaven, not to any individual. The chance of being the personnel director is simply the result of affinity. Do not cultivate because of any particular person. Instead, open your heart and mind, and uplift your concept of what it means to serve in the temple while taking care of temple affairs and cultivating. Manifest Tao through words and actions to influence others, and create good affinity. Bring about a radical change in the existing state of affairs to uplift the spiritual community. If you have any accomplishment, dedicate it to God with gratitude.
Verse 079
Can you imagine how sad I am, when I think about the many sentient beings that are suffering in the cycle of life and death at this moment, and the many cultivators that are sinking down and experiencing trials due to a feeble spirit? I hope you will dedicate your prayers and virtues to them with compassion and sympathy and desire that they will transcend all difficulties.
