Receiving Tao is like reclaiming the sacred seeds of life within us. The purpose of receiving Tao unfolds in three aspects, each nourishing our life force and guiding our growth and transformation.

Kapi'olani Park, Honolulu, Hawaii - Life's mysteries lie in seeds.

1. Awakening to the Meaning of Life

No matter one’s position in life, all will encounter suffering—illness, aging, separation, loss, and the burdens of emotions such as resentment, jealousy, and guilt. Yet, within these experiences lies a deeper purpose. Suffering gently urges us to reflect, to seek meaning, and to turn toward the path that awakens our True Self.

Often, it is our attachments to fleeting, superficial things that deepen our pain. When we learn to let go, we begin to see more clearly. A meaningful life arises when we set sincere and worthy intentions, and with each step, strive to elevate the quality of our thoughts, actions, and inner being.

2. Rediscovering Our True Self

Our original nature is pure, like that of a newborn—clear, gentle, and whole. Yet as time passes, we are influenced by desires, habits, and worldly pursuits, gradually losing touch with our inner clarity.

Receiving Tao is a return—a quiet rediscovery of our True Self. It helps us reconnect with our conscience and remember our deepest purpose in life. When we are aligned within, we are able to fulfill our roles—as children, parents, partners, and members of society—with sincerity, harmony, and wisdom.

Tao teaches us to cultivate a gentle heart, to nurture harmonious relationships, and to see life with clarity. As our understanding deepens, we are no longer easily entangled by external gains and losses, but instead walk with steadiness and peace.

3. Liberation from the Cycle of Birth and Death

Life moves through the stages of birth, aging, sickness, and death—each carrying its own form of suffering. Without awakening, this cycle continues endlessly, like repeating the same patterns again and again.

To transcend this cycle, we begin by receiving Tao, and continue through sincere learning and daily cultivation. By living in accordance with our conscience and embodying the principles of Tao in every moment, we gradually purify our hearts and transform our lives.

Through this path of cultivation, we retrace the journey of our soul—returning, step by step, to our original home. In this return, we find true freedom, lasting peace, and the quiet joy of eternal harmony.
